80 Miles
from Everywhere Worth Going.
The dunes sit right at the junction of southern Utah, northern Arizona, and the edge of the Colorado Plateau. Here's how long it takes to get there from the places people actually come from.
You're closer than
you think you are.
The dunes are off US-89 northwest of Kanab. Mountain driving adds time — give yourself buffer, especially if you’re coming from Las Vegas through St. George in summer traffic.
Where to grab your machine
before you head to the dunes.
We operate pickup locations at Duck Creek Village and Mesquite, Nevada. Both are reasonable drives to the dunes. Your exact pickup is confirmed at booking — if you want to talk through which makes more logistical sense for your itinerary, call us at 877-274-3366.
Pro tip: fuel up in Kanab before turning off US-89 toward the dunes. There are no gas stations at the park entrance area. And Kanab has good food — grab breakfast there and arrive at the dunes by 8am with a full stomach and a full tank.
Two and a half hours
from Las Vegas.
Zero excuses.
